SELECTION OF CANDIDATES POST-GRADUATION COURSE
IN PLASTIC SURGERY
(Duration: three years)

Deadline to hand in all documents: 30th September
Evaluation and Selection of Curriculum Vitae: October
Screening test: December (candidates will be informed of the date in October)
Written test: Consisting of 50 multiple choice questions and 2 essay questions, covering general surgery and emergency medicine; translation of a text from English to Portuguese.
Personal interview: With Prof. Pitanguy and members of his staff.
Final results: two weeks after the examination.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (SEND BY END OF SEPTEMBER)
. Complete Curriculum vitae submitted in a folder, with a copy of all pertaining documents. Certificates of participation in congresses are not necessary.
. Certificate of completion in General Surgery (i.e. diploma of General Surgeon).
. Two letters of recommendation from doctors under whom you have trained.
. 2 recent photos, 3 x 4 (please write your name on the back).
. Copy of Medical Degree Diploma.
. Prof. Pitanguy is the Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the Carlos Chagas Medical Institute.
. The date of the screening test with all the details concerning it and the value of the enrollment fee to be payed the same day of the test are informed during the month of November.
. Tuition fees of the Post-Graduation Course of Plastic Surgery are paid directly to the institutions. All other expenses are also the responsibility of the resident.
. Information regarding training in General Surgery in Brazil should be acquired at the Brazilian Consulate at your country.
