To encourage continuous social and scientific exchange among post-graduate program integrants, on January 21, in 1974, the Association was founded as a not-for-profit organization. The AExPI was created to foster the following objectives:

• Promote and stimulate medical and scientific culture, mainly regarding, esthetic and reparative plastic surgery


• Represent and protect the medical professionals who dedicate their lives to these specialties


• Contribute, from the deontological point of view, to all the activities related to the exercise of medicine, especially plastic surgery


• Promote congresses and open medical meetings and events anywhere in Brazil and overseas, wherever Ivo Pitanguy Ex-alumni doctors reside and practice their art
